Are you traveling to Johor Bahru, Malaysia via airplane for the first time? If so, you might want to know that arriving at Senai International Airport, your journey begins immediately. There's plenty of sights, activities and amenities to keep travelers busy after landing at the airport just a short drive from Johor Bahru city center.

The airport has everything you'll need to get your Johor vacation started off on the right foot. Those finding themselves stuck at Senai on a long stopover will have plenty to keep themselves busy with.

Here's a brief overview of what the airport has to offer:


See a map of the airport and surrounding buildings or ask for information about arranging transport to your hotel at the Information Desk in the Public Concourse area.


The Plaza Premium Lounge is located in the Passenger Terminal Building at the International Departures area, right next to the Information Desk. Television, WiFi, comfortable lounge chairs, dining tables, beverages, telephones, private showers, reading material and much more are all available.

Please note that there is a perk enjoyed by First Class and Business Class travelers: They can enter the Plaza Premium Lounge for free. Obviously, economy travelers can enjoy the lounge, too; however, they need to purchase a pass for MYR 118 for up to 2 hours stay. Other rates are available for longer stays and get less expensive as time spent increases.


Smoking is banned on public spaces. However, you can still smoke at a designated space; Senai designates a ventilated smoking lounge is located on 1st floor at the Departure Hall for weary travelers who need a cigarette break before departing Senai to their respective destinations.

Banks and ATMs

If you need to do a currency exchange or some other form of banking, there is a Maybank and Bank Islam both located on the ground floor of the Aero Mall located directly outside the airport.

Are you looking for ATMs? Those are located in the Public Concourse and Ground Floor areas of the airport, at your convenience.

Luggage and Storage Facilities

Whenever there's a need for a space to store your luggages, you can easily find it at Senai. 24-hour lockers are located in the Public Concourse area. Locker purchases can be made at the Visitor Information Counter and rates start at RM 5 per bag.

Food and Beverage

If you arrive at the airport, head to the Aero Mall directly beside the airport between the hours of 6AM–10PM. There's plenty of concessions to choose from including Subway, Marry Brown, Deli N' Meal, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Famous Amos, Daily Fresh, Dunkin Donuts, ChOcO Pot, The Coffee Bean and Lavender Bistro & Cakes.


There is also other shopping opportunities available within the air conditioned airport and adjacent Aero Mall such as a duty-free outlet and convenience store. There's also a pharmacy, book store, fashion outlet, leather store, apparel center, watch outlet, and craft and souvenir shops.

Prayer Rooms

Both male and female prayer rooms are located on the lower ground floor of the Aero Mall directly beside the airport. All faiths are welcome.

Infant Care

If you're traveling with a young child, there is a nursery area with diaper changing stations is located in the 1st floor Departure Hall area, directly nearby the Female Prayer Room.

Car Rental

Choose from your favorite car rental agencies such as Dialta, Hertz and Orix, all located on the Ground Floor of the Senai Airport.

Shuttle Service to Johor Bahru Sentral

A one-way bus fare to or from JB Sentral cost just RM 8.00 and there are multiple pickup points available at all the major sections of the airport. Those traveling to Singapore can take the shuttle to JB Sentral and hop on the Causeway Link Singapore Shuttle from there.
